The Reverend Jimmy Creech will be facing his 2nd trial for performing a same sex union ceremony. He is charged with violating the order and discipline of The United Methodist Church.

Anyone who feels they have the ability and means to attend the trial is greatly encouraged to do so. We all need to support one another! Suggestions follow.

If you would be willing to help in any other way, please let me know. If you can not attend the trial, please help support a vigil or worship service in your church at the time the trial is taking place.

   1) Help plan a prayer vigil or service during the trial. I have already heard from several people that they are planning to do this in the church. If you would like a sample liturgy from Broadway, who will be doing a prayer vigil, please feel free to email your request to webmaster@brdwyumc.org. They will mail packets to those who request them. And please let me know if you are planning one, as we would like to know how many are taking place (for press and other related reasons) My email address is below.

   2) Help to pay some of the expenses associated with the trial. Several people have emailed and asked where to make a contribution. You may send financial support to MFSA, c/o Katherine Johnson 212 East Capitol Street, NE Washington DC 20003 Checks should be made payable to MFSA, with "Creech Defense Fund" on the memo line.

   3) Send letters or cards of support for Jimmy to me at: Jimmy Creech, c/o Alliance for Tolerance and Freedom, PO Box 5211, Lancaster, PA 17606. I will deliver all cards and letters to him the night before the trial.
